My take on Wolf Run Ramp. For Andy and Jason.

Post  Nate on Tue Oct 18, 2011 3:02 pm

Alright, so we have been testing Wolf Run for a bit, and no one seems satisfied with it. I recently got on some forums and brewed together a hybrid deck of sorts. So this is my take on Kessig Wolf Run.dec!

Creatures:
4 Primeval Titan
2 Inferno Titan
2 Bloodgift Demon
3 Solemn Simulacrum
4 Viridian Emissary
2 Wurmcoil Engine

Spells:
3 Beast Within
3 Heartless Summoning
3 Rampant Growth
2 Slagstorm
1 Geistflame

Lands (still figuring this out...)
1 Copperline Gorge
3 Rootbound Crag
4 Woodland Cemetery
3 Blackcleave Cliffs
3 Kessig Wolf Run
1 Stensia Bloodhall
2 Inkmoth Nexus
6 Forest
2 Mountian
2 Swamp

Jund! That is my personal opinion on where Wolf Run and Heartless decks should go...together! What do you think? Am I completely off here?

I think the point of the deck is to test it, I can see where it could be extremely beneficial, but then again I can also see other things. I would test it of course.

I only want to see it early, and never more than one. Three seems fine to me.

I feel like this could be a deck that is trying to do too many things. Kind of like when people tried to splash green into caw-blade. Kessig is a very solid deck all on its own, and I feel like rather than add a color it might be best to look at different tech options and stay on color, much like in drafting. I'm guilty of doing the same thing; I see an idea and I go to the extreme with it, and it feels like you could be a little off base this one, but going in the right direction for something else very big.
